<p>First,<a title="Recruiters need Information to make placements happen!" href="http://www.kamcon.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Shooting-Blindfolded-2.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-284" style="margin: 10px;" title="Shooting Blindfolded as a Recruiter won't Work!" src="http://www.kamcon.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Shooting-Blindfolded-2-300x199.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="199" /></a> I had a candidate look up my services and send a resume.  However, when I contacted the candidate and attempted to profile them for the position of interest, her/she did not want to disclose information about his/her background.   The candidate state,  &#8221;I only want to speak to the employer!&#8221;   Sorry, can&#8217;t do it!  You contact me.  You are seeking new employment.  However, you are dictating to me how I should work with you in representing you to my client.  NOT going to happen!</p>
<p>Secondly, a new Employer contacted me.  Great!   Things are looking good for the market.  We worked out the service agreement, then I was instructed to &#8220;READ the job description&#8221; and &#8220;SEND resumes!&#8221;  Don&#8217;t speak the Hiring Managers, only contact HR!  If I contact a Hiring Manager, my contract will be null and void.  WHAT!!!   You want me to spend my time, sourcing and profiling candidates, package their resumes in an email, send to HR and HOPE the Hiring Manager chooses at least one person to interview.  Not going to happen!</p>
<p>Noticed I stated, both individuals CONTACTED ME!  Should I be grateful?  Yes.  However, if you want results, I cannot &#8220;Hit the Target&#8221; Blindfolded!</p>
<p>Notice the exclamation points!  Yes, I am silently yelling.  And, maybe they are yelling back at me.  However, something&#8217;s must give with the drawing the line methods from Employers and Candidates.  Recruiters thrive on information.  Knowledge is power.  Most of all, Knowledge = Placements!</p>
<p>Mr. or Ms. Candidate.  Mr. HR or Ms. HR.  No info leads to an ill prepared recruiter.  And my first shots will be off the mark!</p>
<p>If you want results.  Let me do my job.  Information and knowledge from &#8220;true&#8221; hiring managers only allow for faster and better placements.  If you don&#8217;t share, you&#8217;ll be frustrated as well.</p>

Instructs or assigns work to bookkeepers and accounting clerks engaged in general accounting activities. Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions. Utilizes computer to input, retrieve or display accounting information.</p>
<p><strong>Level 1</strong><br />
<strong>Experience:</strong> Typically has up to 3 years professional experience. Can be entry level for employees with Bachelor&#8217;s Degree or equivalent. OR For legal positions, those with J.D. or LL.B. or equivalent. Knowledge: Knows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong> Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks. Work is routine and instructions are usually detailed. Little evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required. For legal positions, may prepare briefs and documents or draw up contracts for review and evaluation by others. <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong> Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character, but usually involves limited responsibility. Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required. Usually Reports to: Lead Level</p>
<p><strong>Level 3</strong><br />
<strong>Experience:</strong> Typically has 5-8 years of professional experience. Fully competent professional &#8211; the first career level in the ladder (i.e., it is expected that all competent professionals will reach this level). Knowledge: Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments. For legal positions, specializes in a particular area, such as litigation, tax, patent, etc.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong>Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters. May be assisted by Entry/Junior or Intermediate Level personnel. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Has appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision. For legal positions, acts in advisory capacity, making recommendations which may have an important bearing on the conduct of the organization&#8217;s business. Usually Reports to: Lead Level or Middle Management</p>
<p><strong>Level 4</strong><br />
<strong>Experience:</strong> Typically has more than 8 years professional experience. Management is typically the next higher level. Knowledge: Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments. For legal positions, is fully qualified in a particular area, such as in litigation, tax, patent, etc.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong> Under general supervision, plans, conducts and supervises assignments. Reviews progress and evaluates results. In legal setting, conducts and supervises broad legal assignments, necessitating ability to evaluate matters which may have a major bearing on the conduct of the organization&#8217;s business. Plans and assigns personnel for given projects or tasks. Assists with the review and evaluation of personnel performance. Interprets and applies organization policy. Recommends changes in procedures. Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Reviews progress with management. Usually Reports to: Upper Middle Management or Top Management.</p>

execution; budgetary controls; IT system controls; and safeguarding of company assets<br />
• Assessment and planning for the development of the finance organization to<br />
align with business strategy and growth and in a cost effective way<br />
• Identify/initiate/drive/police cost reduction and cash improvement projects to improve the<br />
financial performance of the region<br />
• Ownership of regional cash, treasury, legal and insurance related matters working with<br />
the corresponding corporate functions.<br />
• Play a strong role in the global business transformation and ERP [Oracle] strategic<br />
initiative to ensure that the commercial and regulatory requirements for the Americas are<br />
understood and embraced<br />
• Partner with the Regional Business Leader and management team to challenge and<br />
contribute to operating plans and decisions, and provide financial guidance to the team.<br />
• Preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns and other statutory filing requirements<br />
for all legal entities and operations outside of the USA<br />
• Involvement with future acquisitions including due diligence and integration activities</p>
<p><strong>Key Relationships:</strong><br />
The Americas controller will be the go to person for all financial matters in the region – key<br />
network will include :<br />
• Business Leader and Leadership team<br />
• Finance organization – both HT and sister businesses<br />
• Finance Dept. and Financial Leadership Team<br />
• Any corporate functions including treasury, tax, internal audit, external reporting<br />
• External contacts including external auditors, bankers, insurance, tax advisors</p>
<p><strong>Required Capabilities (describe scope of knowledge and ability of the position):</strong><br />
Qualified accountant with 10 years of relevant experience including :<br />
• Management of a team with remote members<br />
• Demonstrated ability to constructively challenge, influence and persuade commercial and<br />
operations management<br />
• Demonstrated ability to add value to commercial performance<br />
• Demonstrated responsibility financial control and reporting for a complex organisation<br />
including non-US subsidiaries<br />
• Advanced system and analytical skills [Excel/Hyperion]. Oracle experience would be an<br />
advantage.<br />

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p>â€¢ Prepare key business analysis of sales, gross profits, and selling, administrative &#038; engineering (SAE) expenses to assist functional leaders in decision-making processes. Investigate trends and variances compared to prior periods and forecasts.<br />
â€¢ Publish monthly management reporting package.<br />
â€¢ Lead the month-end balance sheet account reconciliation process.<br />
â€¢ Point person for corporate reporting requests and Hyperion reporting within the division.<br />
â€¢ Assist in the preparation of the annual plan and quarterly forecasts. Work closely with the Finance Leader and Controller to drive forecast ownership, accountability and reporting into the organization.<br />
â€¢ Work closely with the sales department to ensure that all commissions and customer incentive programs are properly accrued for.<br />
â€¢ Help maintain a strong internal control structure throughout the organization.<br />
â€¢ Ad hoc financial analysis and special projects to support continued growth of the business<br />
â€¢ Learn and apply lean manufacturing methodologies to support continuous improvement<br />

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br />
â€¢ Bachelorâ€™s degree in Business with specialization in Accounting or Finance and CPA certification strongly preferred or in the process of obtaining.<br />
â€¢ Minimum 3 to 5 years of manufacturing/service business analysis and/or finance is required.<br />
â€¢ Specific experience in budget and financial forecast preparation plus review/analysis of variance from same, preparation of product cost estimates and related price quotations/recommendations, preparation of summary schedules and related commentary for these areas is preferred.<br />
â€¢ Knowledge of finance and business measurements: expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, investment, etc.<br />
â€¢ Ability to prepare forecasts and analyze trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, and general business conditions.<br />
â€¢ Strong skills in account analysis, problem solving, attention to detail, and writing of commentary and analytical summaries.<br />
â€¢ Strong project management skills to champion projects.<br />
â€¢ Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.<br />
â€¢ Excellent organization skills, with the ability to rapidly and accurately analyze a situation to arrive at an effective decision.<br />
â€¢ Proficiency using electronic spreadsheet, database, word processing and graphical presentation software, preferably Microsoft Office applications is required.<br />

Required Capabilities:</strong><br />
3+ years experience in a corporate business environment in Accounts Receivable processing, Customer Service or Credit/Collections.<br />
Associates or Bachelorâ€™s degree in related fields a plus, but not required.<br />
Strong computer skills preferably using Microsoft Office applications. Ability to operate multiple computer applications required.<br />
Knowledge of general ledger accounting basics required.<br />
Excellent communication skills in interacting with people at all levels including outside customers, sales, management, other outside credit people.<br />
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus, but not required.</p>

<p>REQUIREMENTS:</p>
<p>1. BS or BA degree preferred (NOT REQUIRED)&#8230;experience can override BS or BA degree.<br />
2. 5+ years SUCCESSFUL AFTERMARKET experience in related field (Industrial or Manufacturing)<br />
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills<br />
4. 4+ years experience creating labor &#038; material budgets, cost and schedule reporting, earned value status and variance reporting, and estimates to and at completion<br />
5. 4+ years experience managing bids and proposals<br />
